Make Dog Bites Child Trauma



Hunted dog is the most frightening experience for children. Inevitably when the dog bites, children become the trauma and stress after, or known as PTSD.Post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a condition that is usually marked fear and anxiety continue to be traumatic to the particular event. Usually the panic reaction that appears more or less the same as when stressors actually occurred. PTSD can happen to anyone, including children. However, in children the impact is more worrisome because it could interfere with their normal development. For example if the child suffered traumatic events in their age level learn to read, will usually be more difficult for them to recover compared with the trauma in adults.
According to Dr. Nancy Kassam-Adams, Vice Direkturr Center for Child Traumatic Stress at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia stated if a child is suffering from traumatic events at an early age then the child takes a long time to recover. "It could be that the new recovery occurred when he stepped up," he said.
Referring to a study published the Journal of Child Health, by Dr. Li Ji, a pediatrician at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing and his colleagues, was an animal bite can cause trauma.
In his research, a team of experts studied 358 children aged 5-17 who come to the ER at Peking University People's Hospital and Beijing, after they were attacked by an animal. The majority bitten by a dog, and the rest bitten cats, rabbits, rats, or pigs.
The children received normal treatment, which includes the rabies vaccine, cleaning and closing wounds, and antibiotics. The respondents were also examined whether they experienced symptoms of PTSD and trauma symptoms similar when it comes to the ER, a week later and 3 months after the events.
Three months later, after rechecking, declared 19 of the 358 children diagnosed with PTSD.Children who are hospitalized due to serious bites, the group experienced the greatest risk of PTSD. This turned out to have nothing to do with age.
